Choosing the Right RIP BUG Spray for the Job
Three sprays, three different jobs. Choosing by the job — not just by the pest — helps you use the right product in the right place, and in the way its label directs.
Always read and follow the label before use.
For time outdoors: Mosquito Repellent Spray
Rip Bug™ Mosquito Repellent Spray (8 oz) is a plant-based, DEET-free mist made for time spent outdoors. Shake the bottle before use, then apply to exposed skin and clothing. Reapply every 90 minutes or as needed.
Do not spray directly on faces. Do not apply under clothing, in diaper areas, or on armpits, and do not apply on cuts, wounds, or irritated skin. When using it on children, apply it to your own hands first and then to the child's skin, avoiding the eyes and mouth area. Keep it out of reach of children.
For entry points and surfaces around the home: Multi-Insect Spray
Rip Bug™ Multi-Insect Spray (16 oz) is a plant-based spray for surfaces around the home, indoors and out. Use it at entry points, baseboards, corners, behind appliances, on patios, and in the garage. It is ready to use, with no mixing.
Spray 8 to 12 inches away until the surface is wet, but not to runoff. Wear protective gloves, do not spray on people or pets, avoid breathing the vapor, mist, or spray, and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Let the treated surface air dry, or wipe it dry with a cloth or paper towel.
For indoor pet areas only: Flea & Tick Spray for Pets
Rip Bug™ Flea & Tick Spray for Pets (16 oz) is for indoor pet areas only — beds, bedding, carpets, crates, carriers, and the spots pets rest in. It is not applied directly to animals. Its actives, as listed on the label, are clove oil and cottonseed oil.
Before treating, take pets out of the area and remove food and water bowls. Treat the surfaces, then allow the area to dry fully before pets come back.
A quick way to choose
- Heading outdoors? Start with the mosquito spray, and reapply every 90 minutes or as needed.
- Treating entry points, baseboards, or other surfaces around the home? Use the multi-insect spray, as directed.
- Treating a place where a pet rests indoors? Use the flea and tick spray for indoor pet areas, and keep pets out until the area is fully dry.
When in doubt, check the product page and the label for the job it is made for — and always read and follow the label before use.
